Dear compatriots,

1. It has become necessary for me to address you on the recent spate of terrorist activities and protracted security challenges in some parts of the country, particularly in Borno, Yobe, Adamawa, Gombe, Bauchi, Kano, Plateau and most recently Bayelsa, Taraba, Benue and Nasarawa states. These unfortunate events have led to needless loss of lives and property of many innocent Nigerians including members of our security forces.

2. The recent killing of security operatives by a cult group in Nasarawa state is particularly condemnable. I have directed that no effort or expense be spared in identifying and bringing to justice all those who had a hand in the killing of the operatives.

3. The activities of insurgents and terrorists have been reprehensible, causing fear among our citizens and a near-breakdown of law and order in parts of the country, especially the North. We have taken robust steps to unravel and address the root causes of these crises, but it would appear that there is a systematic effort by insurgents and terrorists to destabilize the Nigerian state and test our collective resolve.

Asari Dokubo- If I’m Arrested, Nigeria Will be Histroy

Leader of the Niger Delta People’s Volunteer Force,  Alhaji Mujahid Dokubo-Asari, has dared the  House of Representatives and leaders of northern Nigeria to arrest him if they can.

Dokubo-Asari, who spoke with journalists on Wednesday evening in Abuja, said he stood by his words that there would  be no peace if Jonathan is not reelected in 2015.

He was responding to calls by members of the House, Governor Babangida Aliyu of Niger State and northern leaders,saying the leaders were cowards if he was not arrested.

Boko Haram Leaders To Get N20m And Houses Each From FG

The president has finally granted amnesty to the dreaded boko haram members and the program will start from first week of May 2013.The amnesty package proposed by northern elders and approved by the presidency is as follows:

1. A ministry of Northern affairs must be establish
2. Each Boko haram member who embraces the amnesty will receive an initial cash reward of 3 million naira to start up a business.
3. Boko haram members who embrace the amnesty program will be giving a house by the FG
4. Boko haram leaders who embraced the amnesty program will be giving a cash gift of 20 million naira each and other juicy packages will also follow
5. Selected boko haram members from each zone will be taken abroad for training, just as the Niger delta militants enjoyed.
6. Each boko haram member will be on a monthly salary of N100,000 for a period of 3 years.
7. FG must rebuild borno, yobe and other state they claimed the JTF destroyed.
8. Security contract will be given to Boko haram leaders to secure the north.
9. JTF will be completely withdrawn from the northern states, where boko haram operates.

B-Red Walks Out On Davido's HKN Record Label

According to Leadership.ng all is not well within the camp of the  HKN Record label. Davido's cousin and artist B-Red has left the record label owned by Davido and his elder brother, Wale Adeleke.

There are reports that B-Red signed a deal with D'Ark Entertainmentcompany last week, the deal which will see the company handle B-Redmusical career.This new development is coming on the heels of a sharp disagreement within the HKN gang over why the outfit has focussed more on Davido to the detriment of other artistes,  Sina Rambo (Shina Adeleke) and B-Red (Bayo Adeleke) known to be Davido's hype mate at different concerts. Both of them cousins of the rising hiphop star Davido are obviously not happy that their music career  were not given much attention. This  showed when the duo were conspicuously absent at the memorial celeberation gig of Davido's late mum sometime last month.It was gathered that Sina Rambo and B-red had a heated arguement which led to a fight with Davido a month ago at their Atlanta home in US. Properties were said to be damaged as a result of the fight. B-Red and Sina Rambo are sons of the elder brother of Davido's father, a very wealthy Nigerian in his owm right.

The announcement of the finding of the ruins of Pluto’s Gate (Plutonium in Latin) at an archeology conference in Turkey last month, was recently reported by Discovery News. Francesco D’Andria, professor of classic archaeology at the University of Salento in Lecce, Italy, who has been excavating the ancient Greco-Roman World Heritage Site of Hierapolis for years, led the research team.
